Task 1 : Tracing

Tracing is if you want to base a new drawing on an existing piece of artwork, you can trace it. For example, you can create a graphic based on a pencil sketch drawn on paper.

The easiest way to trace artwork is to open or place a file into Illustrator and automatically trace the artwork with the Live Trace command. You can control the level of detail and how the tracing is filled.

In this task , we learned to tracing by using ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR CC

TASK 2 : MESH TOOlS

A mesh object is a multicolored object on which colors can flow in different directions and transition smoothly from one point to another. When you create a mesh object, multiple lines called mesh lines crisscross the object and provide a way to easily manipulate color transitions on the object. By moving and editing points on the mesh lines, you can change the intensity of a color shift, or change the extent of a colored area on the object.

Task 3 : Brush tools

Brushes let you stylize the appearance of paths. You can apply brush strokes to existing paths, or you can use the Paintbrush tool to draw a path and apply a brush stroke simultaneously.
There are different types of brushes in Illustrator: calligraphic, scatter, art, pattern, and bristle. You can achieve the following effects using these brushes

TASK 4 : Photo Retouch

Photo Retouch is the application of image editing techniques to photographs in order to create an illusion or deception after the original photographing took place.

In this task , we learn to use Adobe Photoshop CC

Task 5: MAKE CLIPPING MASK

A clipping mask is an object which shape masks other artwork so that only areas that lie within the shape are visible—in effect, clipping the artwork to the shape of the mask. The clipping mask and the objects that are masked are called a clipping set. You can make a clipping set from a selection of two or more objects or from all objects in a group or layer.

1.Create or open an object you want to mask

2.Create or draw the object you want to use as the mask that will clip parts of the image , This vector shape will acts like a window

3.Place the vector in front of an object you want to mask, select them all

4.Go to Object from the main menu, then Select Clipping Mask and choose Make or press the right click and select Making Clipping Mask Tool.

5.You will get your object in the mask shape.

So, Lecture give us a homework that use make clipping mask and create a make clipping mask art work for " MERDEKA " title.

Task 6: PHOTO MANUPULATION

Photo manipulation is the application of image editing techniques to photographs in order to create an illusion or deception after the original photographing took place. A mere enhancement or correction is known as retouching.
Lecture give us a homework that use technique photo manipulation to create a photo then combined by human and animal.
So, let me step by step to show you how i do my photo manipulation.

1. Find a picture as your background before you edit.

2. Find an animal picture and a human/man picture and combined their body part

(up to our design)

3. Open the man picture and click (quick selection tool) for select the part that you wan to edit or combine.

4. After that, click {select} and choose the refine edge. Refine edge used to modify the edges of a user-created selection.

5. hold click and choose the refine radius tool for the next step for make you select part more details.

6. Brush the side that you select to make it more details.

7. After that press ok and it will become like this.

8. So, repeat the step on the animal you choose.

9. Take your man body part then u select into the background page and edit it up to your design

10. After put one other your animal part picture into background page and edit it up to your desgin.

11. Finally, a manipulation art work was done

FINAL ASSIGNMENT: ILLUSTRATION

Final assignment that given by lecture is creative your own illustration and use the technique that you learn in class to create the illustration.
Illustration is a visualization or depiction made by an artist. So, i have go to prefer some illustration on { pinterest.com } and create my own illustration for this final assigment.
Before start to create illustration, i have to sketch some ideas to consider which idea is better.

This 5 sketch ideas i pass up to my lecture, listen to his suggestion and choose the most nice one for my final assignment illustration.

After considerate, lecture and i choose this sketch idea as my final illustration

First, i use ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR to trace my image

1. I scan the picture to computer and start to trace one by one with layer to trace out all the part of image

2. Carefully trace every part of image

3. Trace and highlight some part to make it more realistic and 3D

(especially the eyes)

4. I also use brushes on hair to make it more details and look realistic

5. For the cloth, i go online to prefer some chinese culture cloth and colour the cloth to make all image increase the feel of chinese culture.

6. After that, i also put a chinese word and the colour of decoration

depend on my design.

7. I put the black colour as my background for make my illustration image more outstanding.

After trace and colour and finish all the details,
i was going to use Photoshop to edit my backgrounf, hair and the cloth.

8. To make the cloth more nicely , i go online search a pattern
and combined with the cloth.

9. Choose the { overlay } effect to make the pattern

look like combined with the cloth

10. i also go online and search the hair pattern
to make my illustration's hair more realistic

11. Same way, choose the { overlay } effect

12. After i give lecture to check my progress, lecture prefer me to add sandpaper background as my illustration surface.

13. Use the sandpaper background as the surface makes the image look like an old image and more outstanding.

14. Finally, my final assignment was done by 3 days and have a cooperating with lecture. Thank you my Basic Computer Lecture Mr.Syafiq . His suggestion and teaching makes my final assignment success and I am very like and proud of this ILLUSTRATION
